Boobera Lagoon

Private Campground - New South Wales

This is a simple open camp ground along the banks of the Lagoon. 

There is a long drop toilet at the entry to the camp grounds. 

Lots of trees for shade, plenty of camping areas along the banks. 

Caution for using the site when wet weather would be advantageous.

There is a sign at the entry to the site that there is no Powered Boating allowed "By Order of the Boobera Lagoon Trust"

We took Robinson’s Rd as the map took us, but had to return on 8kms of rough dirt, it took us to wrong side of Lagoon. Keep going along Mungindi Goondiwindi Rd about 10kms past Robinson Rd (on the right) after Goondiwindi on to a sign on right, Boobera Lagoon, go in along dirt track past drop toilet and in towards lagoon, lovely spots along the bank. Large area, really quiet and lovely, birds & Pelicans on the water, nice sunset.

Strictly dry weather road into this location. Lots of great places to camp, there is a toilet but it was too far away to be of use. Great spot with no facilities very quiet there is plenty of wildlife to see. We will return to this spot again in the future.

A nice quiet area away from road noise on the banks of the lagoon. Drop toilet about 400m from campsites. Lots of birdlife & roos. Don't follow gps directions to turn down Robertson's Rd, turn off is off the main road. Approx 1.5ks of dirt track to lagoon accessible by 2WD. Access in the wet could be difficult.
