Tarraleah Highland Caravan Park

Caravan Park - Tasmania

The Highland Caravan Park is open from 1st October to 30th April each year.

Touring in Tasmania? We are on the Strahan – Hobart touring route, voted “One of Australia’s Top 10 Drives” and offer a quiet, clean and serene place to stop and catch your breath for a while.

Once a thriving working town, the whole village is now dedicated to accommodation and dining, with a central reception located across from the village green.

Tarraleah's Highland Caravan Park has clean, modern facilities including newly renovated bathrooms and a free electric bbq. There are 15 powered sites and plenty of space for unpowered camping. Fires are not permitted in the campground or park.

Reservations are recommended in December, January and February.  Check in is available at Reception before 5pm, located on the village green, or after hours at The Highlander Restaurant.

**Please note, while we allow small dogs in the park (subject to management discretion), we ask you to consider others and keep your dogs on leads, clean up after them and not allow them to bark. We also have ducks, cows and geese on the property and ask you to keep your pets away from the stock. Patrons with dogs not restrained or with dogs disturbing others may be asked to leave the park.

Brilliant caravan park. The whole of Tarraleah ex hydro village is an accommodation complex, including all the beautifully painted houses. All sorts of accommodation options. Everything is manicured including lawns, gardens and buildings. The caravan park has 21 powered sites arranged in bays with flower garden hedges separating them. All are very spacious, even for very large motor homes. The onsite hotel restaurant, the Highlander Arms, is excellent for dinner and drinks and has a range of menu options from budget to swish. This is a peacefully bliss location. Obtain a walking track map from reception. More to see and do than first meets the eye.
